Meaning

Mental illness being a deadly disease to the soul naturally plays the same prank that physical illness plays on the body. When the body is sick it loses appetite for food. Likewise, when the mind gets sick it loses appetite for enlightenment or positive energy. One of the negative effects of this is that the mind soon begins to ponder on suicide as a way to deal with the current predicament. 

This thought-provoking artwork delves into the complex issue of suicide, challenging the notion that it is a solution to life's problems. With this work, I highlight the devastating impact that suicide can have on loved ones, emphasizing the far-reaching consequences of this tragic act.

Often, individuals who struggle with mental illness may mistakenly believe that taking their own life is the only way to escape suffering. However, this is a deeply flawed perspective that fails to consider the ripple effect of such a decision. The loss of a loved one to suicide can have a profound and lasting impact on family and friends, leading to mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and even post-traumatic stress disorder.
